Downloading and Installing Cinemetrics

Follow these steps to download and install Cinemetrics on your computer.

Step 1: Prepare Your System

Ensure that your system meets the technical specifications outlined in Technical Requirements.

Step 2: Obtain a License Key

Cinemetrics requires a license key. For sales, contact us at [e-mail], or write us using the dedicated form on our website.

Step 3: Download and Install Cinemetrics

1. Visit the Microsoft Store and download the software. Downloading the software is free, but using it requires an active license key.

2. Click on the Install button to open the Microsoft Store app on the computer > When the popup appears, click on the install button again > Cinemetrics will start downloading and will automatically install on the system.

3. Click on the Windows Start button. Cinemetrics should appear in the "recently added" list.

Cinemetrics is in active development and we release regular updates. Ensure your copy is always updated for the best performance and user experience.

Step 4: First Run and License Key Activation

1. After installation, launch Cinemetrics.

2. You will be prompted to enter your license key to activate the software. Make sure you have an active internet connection as the activation requires it.

The software will automatically check if the license is valid every time it starts. You do not need to re-enter the license unless it has expired.

Step 5: (Optional) Install Beam Eye Tracker Software

Cinemetrics integrates seamlessly with Beam Eye Tracker to bring advanced eye-tracking to your projects. If you plan to use eye tracking, follow these steps:

1. Purchase, Download and install Beam Eye Tracker.
2. Once installed, open the program. The program will open minimised in the bottom corner of the Windows task bar (see picture below).
